萩原　元 Hagiwara Gen 1990年、東京生まれ。 幼少の頃より吉澤章氏や笠原邦彦氏の本で折り紙に親しみ、中学生の頃から本格的に創作を始める。 主な創作対象は動物や鳥など生物全般で、見た目の写実性の追求よりも創作対象の愛嬌や動きを感じられる作品作りを心がけている。また折り図制作のために折りやすいだけでなく折っていて楽しい工程を探すのも創作の楽しみの一つ。 著書に『萩原元折り紙作品集』（おりがみはうす）、『Spirits of Origami』（Origami-shop.com）等がある。 『端正な折り紙』（ナツメ社）、『新世代 至高のおりがみ』（西東社）、『折り紙キャッツ&ドッグス　プレミアム』（ソシム）などにも折り図を提供。 HP: www.genorigami.com X（旧Twitter）： twitter.com/gen_h Instagram： www.instagram.com/genorigami/ Facebook： www.facebook.com/GenHagiwaraOrigami Born in Tokyo in 1990. He learned origami from books written by Akira Yoshizawa and Kunihiko Kasahara when he was a child, and began to create his own works when he was in junior high school. His main subject is animals, birds, and other living creatures in general, and he tries to create works that give a sense of charm and movement rather than pursuing realism in appearance. He also enjoys exploring the folding sequences that are not only easy to fold, but also fun to fold. He is the author of "Origami Works of Gen Hagiwara" (Origami House) and "Spirits of Origami" (Origami-shop.com). He has also contributed diagrams to "Beauty of Origami" (Natsumesha), "New Generation of Origami" (Seitosha), "Origami Cats & Dogs Premium" (Socym), and others.
